If you are reading this, I hope you can find a brief moment of celebration that you’ve made an active choice for your well being. If you are new to therapy or returning to therapy, welcome. I’m also guessing if you’re reading this that you are trying to know more about me to help you know who you’d like to work with. I strongly believe finding a good fit between you and your therapist is key to your therapeutic progress.

Personally, I’m surprisingly a shy person but I also enjoy deep connections. I enjoy sports (both playing and watching), the outdoors, and being a dog mom. Journaling, yoga, a good book recommendation, and a warm tea are vital to my own self care. I graduated from Georgia College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education in 2018. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a master’s degree in social work in 2021 along with a certificate from the substance use counseling program. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and am currently under my last year of supervision in pursuit to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

I really enjoy helping people reflect and process through genuine conversation. I focus on helping folks develop or enhance a set of foundational skills - self awareness, self compassion, and sense of normalization and distress tolerance to human emotions. I approach the therapeutic process by utilizing a combination of modalities - mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. This allows us to explore, challenge, and change unhelpful thinking patterns, while practicing non-judgmental awareness of thoughts and emotions. We can begin to understand the meaning we make to our life’s experiences, handle struggles gracefully, and move forward with resilience. I intend to offer you a space of support and coping strategies - and ultimately empowerment. I am here to help you help yourself, and I strive to help people make sense of what it means to be a human being in any form.
